Principal's Message

Welcome to Briarmeadow Charter School!

I am honored to serve as the principal of Briarmeadow, where we are committed to creating a welcoming, inclusive, and supportive community for students, families, and staff. I bring 27 years of experience in education, having served as a teacher, dean, International Baccalaureate coordinator, and now in my 10th year as a principal in Houston ISD. Our school is truly a special place—rich in diversity, grounded in academic excellence, and driven by a deep sense of community.

Briarmeadow is a PreK–8th grade campus that offers a unique educational experience. In our elementary program, we proudly implement the International Baccalaureate (IB) Primary Years Program, which fosters inquisitive, life-long learners who are prepared to think critically and act compassionately in a global society. In middle school, our 6th–8th grade students engage in advanced academic coursework that prepares them for the next step in their educational journey.

As a community school, we deeply value parent partnerships and believe that family involvement is essential to student success. Our vibrant PTO plays an instrumental role in bringing families together and enhancing the Briarmeadow experience for all.
