Dear Eliot,
Thank you for your tremendous efforts on reviewing the draft and
sharing excellent comments for improvements.
On behalf of Samsung Electronics Co. Ltd., I sincerely confirm it is
our licensing policy that for implementation and distribution of APV,
neither licensing from nor contract with Samsung Electronics
Co. Ltd. will be required as APV has been originally designed and
developed to be an open standard for free public use by the industry.
We are excited about great interest and fast market adoption of APV by
the industry. We are trying our best to support the industry
needs. Therefore, I would like to reassure that timely publication of
APV specification as an IETF RFC is truly important and best aligned
with our strategy on sharing a free open public professional codec
with the industry as no membership or fee required to access the
document.
Please feel free to let us know if there are any way to accelerate the
publication process of the draft.
Regards,
Kwang Pyo Choi
