I have this 2-pin crystal oscillator with possible marking "H1 3937", connected to two load capacitors. Can anyone help me find the frequency value of the oscillator?

The adjacent U10 is an MCF5329 Coldfire microprocessor.

\$\begingroup\$ To help get an answer can you edit the question to give the identity of the adjacent U10. It looks like the crystal oscillator is connected to U10, so knowing U10 could help to identify the possible crystal oscillator frequencies. \$\endgroup\$ Commented 9 hours ago

\$\begingroup\$ Looking at the Coldfire MCF5329 documentation this is likely to be a 16MHz crystal oscillator. This is a comment, and not an answer, since (a) the documentation indicates other crystal oscillator frequencies can be used (b) Haven't yet identified the actual crystal oscillator. \$\endgroup\$ Commented 9 hours ago

\$\begingroup\$ For what it's worth, that is a crystal, not a crystal oscillator. The numbers could denote frequency, or they may just be a random part number. \$\endgroup\$ Commented 8 hours ago
  • \$\begingroup\$ does the device power on? If so, 20s with looking at the waveforms at the two pads next to the crystal with a high-impedance probe will answer your question, probably, in the sense of giving you all information you'd need (together with U10's datasheet) to derive which crystal you'd need to buy to replace this. \$\endgroup\$ Commented 7 hours ago
