This box office is a function of HSPVA Friends, the 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that supports Kinder High School for the Performing and Visual Arts. Every ticket sold provides crucial support to the corresponding department or program.

You may purchase tickets online here. HSPVA Friends accepts Visa, MasterCard, Discover, and American Express. There are no cash or check sales at the door.
All tickets are attached to confirmation emails as images and as PDFs. There is no need to print your tickets. Simply present your eTicket on your smartphone to the student ushers at the door to your venue. There is no “Will Call” option, as there are no physical tickets. Student box office volunteers are available to assist patrons who need help locating their tickets.
All ticket sales are final. There are no refunds.
For ticketed performances, ALL patrons, regardless of age, require a ticket and individual seat.
Kinder HSPVA is home to four official performance venues. They are all located directly inside the main entrance to the campus, on either the first or second floor. The Denney Theatre orchestra/main seating is located on the first floor. The Recital Hall, Studio Theatre, Black Box, and Denney Theatre balcony are on the second floor.
The venues will usually open for seating 30 minutes before curtain, with some variation depending on the production. Details will be sent with your eTickets. If you have your eTicket ready when you arrive, proceed directly to the doors of your venue, and an usher will check your ticket and help you find your seat.
Kinder HSPVA students may purchase tickets with cash no fewer than five school days in advance of the performance. Please contact the box office for more information. HSPVA Friends does not have a full-time box office staff and therefore cannot accommodate cash or check ticket purchases at the door on the day/night of performances.
Visitor parking is not available in the school garage for any reason. For public events, you may take advantage of street parking. With few exceptions, downtown’s metered street parking is free after 6:00pm Monday-Saturday and all day Sunday. Always read the signs and meters for restrictions. We recommend downloading the city’s metered parking app, ParkMobile.
Please allow ample time for traveling to downtown, parking your vehicle, and walking from your car to your show. We recommend allowing for a 30-minute buffer. Late arrivals cannot always be accommodated.
Kinder HSPVA has made special arrangements with the garage across the street from campus for a discounted rate of $5.00. This rate is available Monday through Friday after 6:00pm and on the weekends. Note that the discounted rate may not be available during Astros home games. To receive the discounted rate, your garage parking ticket must be validated by the box office, in the lobby of Kinder HSPVA, or with the faculty/staff in charge of the event.

We will attempt to accommodate latecomers, but we cannot guarantee seat availability or location. Tickets will not be refunded.
As a courtesy to other patrons and to the performers, latecomers and those who exit the theatre during the performance will not be admitted into the house until an appropriate interval (determined by the performance management).
Any empty seats may be released 10 minutes before the performance.
If your event is canceled, postponed, rescheduled, or moved, we will attempt to contact you to update you on the status of the event and inform you of any refund, credit, or exchange procedures. For exact instructions on any canceled, postponed, rescheduled, or moved event, please check your email used at the time of purchase, the event information online, or contact us at boxoffice@hspvafriends.org.
Photography and audio/video recording are strictly prohibited at Kinder HSPVA ticketed events. Offenders may be removed without a refund.
Concessions are sometimes offered in the Commons for you to enjoy during intermission. Food and drinks are strictly prohibited in all performance spaces at Kinder HSPVA. Per HISD policy, alcoholic beverages are never allowed on the Kinder HSPVA campus.
ADA accessible and companion seating is available in all venues.
For performances in the Denney Theatre with assigned seating, ADA accessible seating is indicated by green/wheelchair icons. Please contact the box office for assistance in purchasing these seats. By selecting an ADA accessible seat, you acknowledge that you or a member of your party requires the features of the accessible seat or wheelchair space. The purchase of ADA accessible seat or wheelchair space by non-disabled patrons is prohibited and will result in seat relocation or forfeiture of the tickets and any ticketing cost.
For general admission performances, please arrive early to select your seats. If you need assistance, please contact an usher. For late arrivals, we cannot guarantee that your party will be able to sit together.

In accordance with HISD policies (Texas Education Code 38.006 and 38.007), alcohol, smoking, and using e-cigarettes or tobacco products are prohibited at Kinder HSPVA.
Kinder HSPVA faculty and staff reserves the right to refuse admission or eject any person whose conduct is deemed by management to be disorderly or who fails to comply with Kinder HSPVA personnel and posted signs. Your use of a ticket acknowledges your willingness to appear in photographs taken in public areas of Kinder HSPVA, releasing liability resulting from use of such photographs. Titles, artists, dates, and prices are subject to change.
All single-show sales are final and non-refundable. Exchanges are available for shows with multiple performances:
Please note that exchange requests must be made at least 48 hours in advance, Monday through Friday, between 8:00am – 4:00pm. Please contact boxoffice@hspvafriends.org with your exchange requests.
Exchanges cannot be processed through the Box Office on the day/night of the show.
Tickets for shows with multiple performances may be exchanged for a $10 per ticket fee. Additionally, you will pay the difference in ticket price when exchanging from a lower-priced seat to a higher-priced seat. When you exchange tickets for performances with assigned seats (as opposed to general admission), every effort is made to provide seats in the same section as your original selections.
To maintain inexpensive ticket pricing, as well as to help offset expenses related to box office hardware, software, and third-party online sales services, HSPVA Friends must charge a service fee for each sale. We make every effort to keep the fees as reasonable as possible while also ensuring that the full base ticket price is able to benefit the corresponding art area or program. Individual ticket purchases are charged a $3 fee per ticket.
Kinder HSPVA students who are enrolled in HISD’s Free and Reduced Meal Program may request free or reduced-price tickets to any Kinder HSPVA ticketed performance for the members of their household.
HSPVA ticket emails are sent from “SimpleTix Orders”. The subject line is the name of the show, plus your order number. (For example, “Macbeth Order# H-A33289F7” or “Hairspray – 2021 Fall All-School Musical Order# H-BF3357I4”)
Ticket confirmation emails are sent immediately upon purchase. For your convenience, they are also resent the morning of the show.
Don’t forget to check your email’s Spam folder.

Show information is included in Dr. Rivas’s Friday emails to Kinder HSPVA students, parents, and staff. Tickets typically go on sale 30 days prior to each show. We also encourage you to ask your student. They usually know, and sometimes student participants are informed of early access options for families of performers. Otherwise, keep checking the box office website or email boxoffice@hspvafriends.org with your specific question. You may also subscribe to the HSPVA Friends mailing list for regular updates on upcoming events.
Open the SimpleTix app and enter your email address. When the app prompts you to enter your password, click “Forgot Password” in order to reset your login. The box office staff and volunteers do not know your personal login information.
