Taposh Roy from Chesri, Barkhola in Assam, has been with Flipkart for six years, across roles as a Sorter and now a Wishmaster. At 24, he manages deliveries across rural areas where poor connectivity and heavy rains are part of the routine. In remote villages like Punji, where roads don’t reach and mobile signals drop, he has found his own way. By building a connection with a local shopkeeper who relays messages up the hill, Taposh ensures every parcel reaches the right person and remains committed to getting it done. His work has supported steady progress at home, making him financially independent and helping build the family’s house. Alongside his job, Taposh is also preparing for a future as a stenographer. Flipkart Foundation hosted the third edition of Sampark on 20 November 2025 at Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi, bringing together over 150 participants from NGOs, corporations, foundations, and community organisations to explore collaborative models for inclusive development. The day began with a welcome by Sarah Gideon, VP – Corporate Affairs, CSR, & Flipkart Foundation, who spotlighted the Foundation’s commitment to innovation, inclusion, and strong grassroots partnerships. This was followed by the release of the 3rd edition of the Compendium of Human Stories of Change, featuring lived transformative experiences from communities across projects. Project beneficiaries from AIACA and Smile Foundation shared how access to market linkages and skills transformed their livelihoods. Mohammed Asif, Executive Director, Plan International [India Chapter], stressed the need for trust-based partnerships and community ownership in development. The panel discussion, moderated by Rahul Bansal (UNICEF), featured Anjali Makhija (S M Sehgal Foundation), Jyoti Sharma (Nasscom Foundation), Priya Naik (Samhita), and Sonali Khan (Sesame Workshop - India), who spoke about institutional collaboration and data-driven impact. A fireside chat with Bhawani Singh Shekhawat (The Akshaya Patra Foundation) and Swati Srivastava (Mahindra & Mahindra), moderated by Sarah Gideon, underscored the importance of storytelling and empathy in programme design.
