As Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Mandir in Ayodhya marks another milestone with the Dhwaja Arohan, the sacred ceremony of hoisting the temple flag, it reflects one of India’s most remarkable engineering journeys. Tata Consulting Engineers (TCE) is proud to have been part of this story. For us, this was more than a project. It was an opportunity to honour an ancient architectural vision while ensuring the structure stands strong for generations. Our teams worked on design review, engineering and project management, shaping a temple built entirely in stone, rooted in tradition and strengthened through modern engineering. Standing on hundreds of pillars with joints crafted using traditional tongue and groove techniques and backed by seismic and environmental safeguards, the temple became a story of what happens when heritage and engineering meet with purpose. Amit Sharma, Managing Director and CEO, TCE, joined the project team at Ayodhya to witness this historic moment. As the Dhwaja waves above Ayodhya, we look ahead to designing more iconic structures that unite culture and innovation. #TCE #EngineeringExcellence #RamMandir #InnovationInEngineering #HeritageMeetsScience #ProjectsOfPurpose Sathish Rao Ramesh Krishnamurthy Nilesh Tamhane Binod Shukla

The Trombay Thermal Power Station played a defining role in the early journey of Tata Consulting Engineers (TCE). It was here that TCE strengthened its capabilities in power generation and set new benchmarks for engineering in India. TCE supported the detailed engineering and development of Units 3 and 4, with Unit 4 becoming the largest thermal power unit in India at that time. The project introduced several firsts in the country, including efficient plant layouts, flexible fuel systems, and advanced pollution control technology that lowered emissions. These early successes opened the door to future work and deeper trust. As Mumbai’s demand grew, the station continued to expand. TCE contributed engineering support to Units 5, 6, and 7, helping shape one of the most important power assets in the region. The work on these units stands out as an example of forward-looking design and thoughtful planning for a growing city. This story reflects our larger journey: a commitment to solving real-world challenges, building strong partnerships, and supporting India’s progress through engineering that lasts. 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐧𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐞𝐬 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐑𝐞𝐥𝐢𝐚𝐛𝐥𝐞 𝐖𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐒𝐮𝐩𝐩𝐥𝐲 The CIDCO Treated Water Tunnel Proiect is a crucial part of the Hetwane Water Supply Scheme with an objective to augment the existing treated water supply for Navi Mumbai regions. As part of CIDCO's major water infrastructure development plan, a 15.35 km long, 2500 mm diameter treated water tunnel is being constructed to pipe treated water from the upcoming 270 MLD Jite Water Treatment Plant to the Master Balancing Reservoir at Vahal. Once completed, this system will improve water distribution capacity and reliability for thousands of residents in the rapidly growing regions of Navi Mumbai under CIDCO. The 15.35 km stretch of the tunnel is divided into two phases for effective execution: Phase 1:8.65 km from Jite WTP to Sai Village and from Vindhane Village tc Vahal MBR Phase 2: 6.70 km between Sai Village and Vindhane Village As the Project Management Consultant, Tata Consulting Engineers (TCE) ensures high-quality design and supervision of this critical infrastructure. Our role spans strategic planning, coordination among stakeholders, and governance to ensure quality, safety, and compliance at every stage of execution. In July 2025, the project set national records in the 3.2 m Tunnel Boring category, achieving exceptional monthly progress rates that mark a significant benchmark in India’s tunnelling history. Recently, Mr Sathish Rao , Business Head – Project Management Consultancy, visited Treated Water Tunnel Phase 1 to review tunnelling works, engage with teams and share insights for the next stages. Projects like this go beyond engineering. They help build sustainable, thriving communities. #TCE #SiteInAction #EngineeringExcellence #WaterInfrastructure #ProjectManagement #CIDCO #UrbanDevelopment
