Why not change the method so it return 'true' it the matterial is added and 'false' if it wasn't?

return true;
}
private bool LoadMaterial(string name)
{
if (_Materials.ContainsKey(name))
{
return false; //already present
}
_Materials.Add(
name,
Resources.Load(string.Format("Materials/{0}", name)) as Material
);
return true;
}
