Be accommodated in this project a version of CAP (Code Analysis Plugin for Eclipse) valid for Eclipse Indigo. The version of CAP in sourceforge.net/projects/cap4e/ not work correctly in Eclipse Indigo so I made the appropriate adjustments. I tried to connect to the original author of CAP4E but without results. Please, if anyone could do it for me I am willing to give the original author of the updated package for me to post it on the original site. I then eliminate this project. If you do not see the code offered, do not worry: soon to be uploaded to Sourceforge. -

CODERU is a java code quality tool to enforce good structure in respect to packages and therefore modules dependencies. CODERU is an achronym and stands for Common Dependency Rules. The CODERU-rules rely on reserved package names and the allowed dependency rules between them expressed in a general way. Unlike other tools forcing you to define allowed or disallowed individual package dependencies CODERU is based on a fixed set of general rules. The dependencies between packages need not be defined explicitly. These general dependency rules are based on common design practices what is reflected in preserved package names: "api", "common", "impl" and "factory". Often I have seen some Huge Maintenance Projects it is always very difficult to track the incremental files for each release and If we want to do that we need to checkout both the branches and use some UI based tool to get the diff of the files finally we end up waiting in front of the PC for a long time and do this job. In many cases we spend more than 2 hrs/day. The time increases if there are more such parallel releases and at the end of the day 1 developer does it as full time job and has zero productivity. I thought of adding value here. This just gets the diff files. Can be used for Static code analysis like PMD to do PMD only for the delta. The current status of the project is in Development".
