VERSION 5.4.3.3 is available from the usual places, for example from https://sourceforge.net/project/showfiles.php?group_id=117793&package_id=232650 If a java/Java.inc is missing, it will created, in necessary. Please see the NEWS file for the reason. Hello,
thank you for your answer. I think you are right and I used the false version of php java bridge.
You suggest to use the version 5.4.3.3 for Windows . But I could not find it in downloads (there are only 3 versions: 5.4.4.2,5.4.4.1 and 5.4.4)

The code is in the cvs head for testing. I will release it at the end of the month. * Short path for jsr223 script engines * Short path for fastcgi * Corrected shutdown sequence (5.4.4 "hanging after fatal error") * Automatic Java.inc loading (can be switched off) Regards, Jost Boekemeier -- |

Hi, Thank you very much for the bug report, It seems that versions 5.4.4 and above are completely broken, scripts which throw exceptions or generate a fatal error do not go through client->__destruct(), which in turn may be due to a php bug. Previous versions used to handle this case, but since 5.4.4 this code has been "cleaned up". Please do not use version 5.4.4 on non-linux operating systems. Please use version 5.4.3.3 instead. I will remove the 5.4.4 JEE binary from the download section. However, the debian and fedora downloads don't have this problem; they use named pipes instead of pfsockopen(). Since the jar is in the class path, require()ing it again would violate the module contract. It is a java platform issue. There is a proposal for a java module system, but I am not sure when or if sun is going to implement it. Please do not use java_require(), not with our bridge and not with other bridges, this feature cannot be implemented properly. Please use tomcat hot deployment instead. It has similar issues, but at least we dont get support requests if tomcat classloading fails. Subject: Re: [Php-java-bridge-users] Passing arrays
The java method can handle varargs:
new java(array("java.lang.String", ...)) should work.
For method invocation there is a invokeMethod() method within JavaClient:
__javaproxy_client_getClient()->invokeMethod(oid, method, argarray)
oid is $obj->__java, method a string and argarray the argument array.
Maybe we should make this an official API.

Hi,
Thank you very much for the bug report.
The example numberguess.php contains a line
java_require("./numberGuess.jar");
This line should not be there. Please remove it.
After that the example will work correctly.
The will be fixed in version 5.4.4.2.

Your opinion is very important for me, because I don't know now if I should analyse futhermore what I have done wrong in php java bridge or the problem is in configuration.....As I have already written, all examples from"java bridge" are running except "numberguess"(other examples-JSP). "Numberguess" is similar to my example "HelloWorld" . The both programms can't be started (louding process)
( I hope it is my last question today)

What you are doing now (including java.inc directly into your php script) will be default in version 5.4.4.2. Please try to consolidate your questions in one mail. My last message was about:
I think we should add a short path to the bridge so that users dont have to
require Java.inc when PHP scripts are running within a servlet engine.
This means that we add code to the FastCGI and CGI servlet, which acquires a
SocketContextServer early and then feeds the code from Java.inc to the open
Fast-CGI input stream. Similar to what our JSR 223 scripts do. This doesn't
necessarily make php scripts which don't require Java functionality slower,
as this short path consomes only one continuation instead of two.
Which in turn means that the servlet thread pool cannot overrun, so the pool
check can go away (the check was ugly and worked only on some known engines
anyway).

Why do you call java_require()? Just put your libs to web-inf/lib. You can use die() in you code to check where it loops. I have done it (java.inc)
http://localhost:8081/HelloWorldWebApp/helloworld.php ( if I have test.php on the place of "helloworld.php) it works perfect, but my version has already been loading for 3 minutes- no error messages, nothing.
