I am trying to work on stock data downloaded from NSE website using the below code:

df1 = get_history(symbol= 'RELIANCE' ,
                    start=date(2019,1,1),
                    end=date(2019,1,30))

df = pd.DataFrame(df1)

The dataframe df looks as below:

              Symbol Series Prev Close Open High Low Last \
Date

In the above dataframe, I can clearly see the Date column as a part of my dataframe, but when I write:

print(df.Date)

I get the below error:

Traceback (most recent call last):
  File "<pyshell#3>", line 1, in <module>
    df.Date
  File "C:\Users\Lenovo\AppData\Local\Programs\Python\Python36\lib\site-packages\pandas\core\generic.py", line 3614, in __getattr__
    return object.__getattribute__(self, name)
AttributeError: 'DataFrame' object has no attribute 'Date'

I am not able to understand what is the problem.

You have to reset your index, to get it back as a column you can work with.

df.reset_index(inplace=True)

Or access the index itself

print(df.index)

Okay. Looks like it should work. I will let you know once I test it in my full code
Hello, why inplace=true in your code?
