Based on the notifications you want to receive, you can change the settings for certain apps or for your whole Android XR device.
Find notifications
- On your Android XR device, open the Home screen.
- If you aren’t sure how to open the Home screen, learn how to navigate on your Android XR device.
- At the top, select Notifications
.
- To find notifications, scroll.
- To expand a notification: Select Expand.
- To remove a notification: Select Close.
- To remove all notifications: Select Clear.
Manage app notifications
- On your Android XR device, open the Settings app.

- Select Notifications
App notifications.
- Beside the app you want to manage notifications for, turn the toggle on or off.
Manage Do not disturb option
- On your Android XR device, open the Settings app.
- If you aren’t sure how to open the Settings app, learn how to navigate on your Android XR device.
- Select Notifications
- Turn Do not disturb on or off.
To get calls or messages when Do not disturb is on:
- Under “Allow during Do not disturb,” select Calls or Messages.
- You can select to allow:
- All
- Contacts only
- Favorite contacts only
- None
