We review your brand profile assets, like images and descriptions, to ensure they comply with our policies. If an asset is disapproved, it doesn’t display on your brand profile.

Understand why brand profile assets are disapproved
There are different reasons why your brand profile assets might be disapproved. These reasons include but are not limited to:
- Image policy violations: Images that contain inappropriate or copyrighted content or violate any of Google's Shopping policies.
- Description policy violations: Descriptions that contain inappropriate language, misleading claims, or violate any of Google's Shopping policies.

Fix issues with your brand content on Merchant Center
When a brand profile asset is disapproved, you get a notification in your Google Merchant Center account.
Image- Go to your Merchant Center account.
- On the left, under “MARKETING,” select Brand
.
- Under “Images,” you can find the disapproved image.
- Select View issues.
- To determine why the image is disapproved, next to "Image not approved,” select Expand
.
- Review the issues.
- To appeal the decision, select I disagree with the decision.
- In the “Before you request a review” pop-up, explain why you disagree with the decision.
- Optional: To help Google process your request, provide your value-added tax (VAT) number.
- Select Request review.
Tips:
- When you provide the reason for your appeal, be specific and provide supporting evidence.
- After you submit an appeal for the image, next to “Image not approved,” the status shows “Under review.”
Important: If your description from the “Write a description” method is disapproved, it automatically changes to the “From the web” or default version.
- Go to your Merchant Center account.

Fix issues with your brand content on Search
Important: Only super admins can resolve issues with their brand profile. Learn how to manage access to your brand profile.
Images- Go to Google Search.
- Search for your exact business name.
- In the search results, your brand profile shows up.
- Select Images & videos
.
- Find the disapproved images.
- On the image, beside “NOT APPROVED,” hover over More info
.
- Select View issue.
- To determine why the image is disapproved, next to "Image not approved,” select Expand
.
- Review the issues.
- To appeal the decision, select I disagree with the decision.
- In the “Before you request a review” pop-up, explain why you disagree with the decision.
- Optional: To help Google process your request, provide your value-added tax (VAT) number.
- Select Request review.

After you request a review
The review of your appeal might take up to 7 business days to be completed. After the review is complete, you’ll receive an email notification. You can find the status of the review in your Merchant Center account.
If the review is:
- Successful: The disapproval is removed and your asset becomes eligible to be displayed on your brand profile.
- Unsuccessful: The asset remains disapproved. We recommend that you review the policy and make more corrections. If you’re eligible, you can request another review.
