If your child has a friend or sibling with a Fitbit Ace LTE, you can allow them to add each other as friends in Bit Valley. Friends can see each other’s eejies and interact in Bit Valley. Friends cannot call or message each other.
Tip: To enable Friends, your child’s Fitbit Ace LTE must be on the latest software version. If you don’t see the Add Friend option, this may be because the feature is not available in your area.
Turn on Friending in the Fitbit Ace app
To enable Friending for your child:

Open the Fitbit Ace app

- On your child’s card, tap Settings.
- Select Friends.
- Tap Turn ON friending.
Add a friend on Fitbit Ace LTE
Important: To add a friend, users must be near each other. Parents will be notified when their child adds a friend.
- On your watch, swipe left to access Bit Valley.
- Swipe to the bottom of the screen and tap Add friend.
- Tap

- Ensure that you’re standing next to your friend, tap Ready and then Search.
- When prompted, check that your items screen matches your friend’s.

Issues with adding a friend
If you experience issues with adding a friend:
- Check that your friend also has the feature enabled on their Fitbit Ace LTE.
- Ensure that your friend is near you.
- Check that your pairing codes match.
- Check that you both have WiFi or LTE connectivity.
- If you’ve reached the maximum number of friends (10), you won’t be able to add additional friends.

Restart your watch and ask your friend to do the same.
Visit friends
On the Fitbit Ace LTE
- On your watch, swipe left to access Bit Valley.
- Swipe up to see your friend list.
- Tap the card of the friend that you want to visit.
- Tap Visit.
Manage friends
On the Fitbit Ace app
As a parent, you’ll be notified when your child adds a new friend. To view and manage your child’s friends:
- Open the Fitbit Ace app
- On your child’s card, tap Settings.
- Select Friends.
- Tap on the friend.
On the Fitbit Ace LTE
- On your watch, swipe left to access Bit Valley.
- Scroll to the bottom of the screen to see your listed friends.
- Tap a friends’ card to see an overview of their Collection and Key stats.
Remove a friend
On the Fitbit Ace app
To check and remove your child’s friends:
- Open the Fitbit Ace app
- On your child’s card, tap Settings.
- Select Friends.
- Tap on the friend.
- Select Remove.
On the Fitbit Ace LTE
- On your watch, swipe left to access Bit Valley.
- Scroll to the bottom of the screen to see your listed friends.
- Tap the card of the person you want to remove as a friend.
- Scroll to the bottom of the screen and tap on Unfriend.
- You’ll be prompted if you want to remove the person from your list.
- Tap on
Tip: Your friend will not be notified when you remove them as a friend.
Turn off Friending in the Fitbit Ace app
Important: When you turn off Friending, your child’s friends will be deleted. If you later turn Friending back on, your child’s friends will not be restored and you will need to re-add each friend.
To turn Friending off for your child:
- Open the Fitbit Ace app
- On your child’s card, tap Settings.
- Select Friends.
- Tap Turn OFF and delete friends.
Send a gift in Bit Valley
To send a gift to a friend in Bit Valley:
- On your watch, swipe left to access Bit Valley.
- Go to your friends list and tap a friend’s name.
- Tap Send Gift to choose and send your desired gift.
To send a gift from Bitpedia:
- Tap an item in Bitpedia to select it.
- A list will appear. Choose the friend you want to send your gift to.
