Resetting your Pixel Buds and their case will reset all settings. This includes the device name and your preferences for enabling and disabling features. For Pixel Buds Pro 2, this also resets the ability to locate them using Find Hub. To reset your Pixel Buds:
- Go to your device’s Bluetooth settings and forget Google Pixel Buds.
- Plug the charging case into a power source with a USB-C® cable.
- Make sure the Pixel Buds are seated within the charging case and leave the charging case open.
- Press and hold the pairing button on the back of the case for 30 seconds.
- When the earbuds status light stops bouncing, let go of the pairing button.
- For Google Pixel Buds, this is the light inside the opened case.
- Check the earbuds status lights.
If you initiate a factory reset countdown, the earbud’s status light should blink orange. Then, the status light blinks white and orange during the reset process. Status lights start bouncing white when it's in pairing mode. After the reset, your Google Pixel Buds are ready to pair.
Pixel Buds Pro is in pairing mode when bouncing white lights are visible while lights switching white and orange means that the buds are trying to pair but one of them isn't properly seated in the charging case. Try closing and re-opening the lid to re-align the buds.
Tips:
- After you reset your Pixel buds, you can add it on Find Hub by following the instructions in Add headphones or other accessories.
