'King': Arshad Warsi opens up about his son assisting on Shah Rukh Khan’s film; says “can’t ask director to invest hundreds of crores in my kids”
Arshad Warsi who was recently seen as ‘Ghafoor’ in Aryan Khan’s ‘The Ba***ds Of Bollywood’, has revealed an exciting update about his son's career path. The actor has revealed that his boy is making his way in the film industry, and doing so as an assistant on Shah Rukh Khan’s upcoming film ‘King’.

What Arshad says about his son’s career path

Arshad shared in his latest interview, that both his children dream of acting, but his son is currently learning the ropes as an assistant director. Speaking with Bollywood Hungama, Arshad said, “Both my son and daughter want to act. My son is currently assisting Siddharth Anand and has assisted Rajkumar Hirani. Of course, I’m scared; it is a tough job today. Acting is not an easy profession anymore, as the success rate is so low.”

Success not a guarantee

Arshad spoke candidly about the realities of the industry. He stressed that no parent can guarantee success for their children, stating that every artist must carve their own path. He stated, “Nobody can help anybody here. You have to make your own way. I can’t call a director and ask them to invest hundreds of crores in my kids."He went on to question, "Koi mere bete pe satta kyun lagayega? Even a casual call to a filmmaker to meet my kids means expecting them to take my kids into their project, which I will not do. Why would anybody do that? Why would filmmakers bet on my kids if I ask them to do so? Why should I recommend my kids to anyone?”

What he feels about Aryan Khan

Arshad, who recently starred in Aryan Khan’s directorial debut web series, said, “He is a very special kid. He is one of those directors who has a movie playing in his head.” Arshad shared that nothing in his performance was improvised; Aryan had scripted and shaped every detail. He further added, “The success of the song and my character Ghafoor is due to Aryan.” According to Arshad, the young director's strong vision and guidance made the character unforgettable for audiences.
