Planning a trip with friends is rarely just about the destination; it is about the small, chaotic, and lively moments that end up becoming lifelong memories. A recent viral video shows a group of boys and girls on the train coach, relishing the most beloved instant noodles, and that too from a single bucket!
From sharing snacks in cramped train berths to laughing over silly inside jokes, these experiences turn a simple journey into a story that friends retell for years. Food, especially, often becomes the centre of these stories, whether it is a favourite packet of chips or a much‑loved instant noodle brand passed around the group

Friends’ ‘ghar ka kitchen’ moment
A viral Instagram video shows a group of over ten friends from Pune travelling on a train, all seated together in a coach with spoons in hand as they gather around a large bucket full of ‘Maggi’. Both boys and girls are seen sitting excitedly, waiting their turn to dig into the oversized serving, turning the simple noodle dish into a shared feast. The overlay text on the video reads, “That one non-negotiable part of the trip,” and the group has jokingly referred to the train pantry as their “Ghar Ka Kitchen,” telling how important this noodle treat was as a part of the group trip.
How the maggi bucket was made
It is assumed that the train’s pantry staff helped the group prepare such a large quantity of Maggi during the journey. The noodles were likely cooked in bulk in the pantry and then poured into the bucket so everyone could share from one big container. The clip, posted about a week ago, has already crossed more than six lakh views on Instagram,
showing how strongly people relate to this mix of travel, friendship and “bucket Maggi.”
The video went viral because of the shared sentiment of people online
The video was captioned as , “When you get gharjaisi Maggi from Pantry

The scene has struck a chord online because it shows how many Indian travellers treat long train rides as an extension of home, where food is shared freely and space is improvised.
Turning the pantry into a “home kitchen” gives the journey a homely feel and turns a basic meal into a memorable event for everyone involved.
For many viewers, the video brings back memories of college trips, family vacations and group tours where Maggi or similar snacks became a non‑negotiable part of the experience.
A different Maggi video led to serious concerns
However, this incident has been contrasted with another viral clip that raised safety concerns instead of smiles. In that earlier video, a Maharashtrian woman was seen cooking Maggi inside an AC train coach using a household electric kettle plugged into the power socket meant only for charging devices. The kettle, reportedly a high‑wattage appliance, was connected to a passenger charging point, prompting many online users to caution that such use is unsafe and likely against railway norms.
Power outlets in train coaches are designed for low‑power gadgets like mobile phones and laptops, not for high‑power appliances such as electric kettles or cookers. Using these appliances can overload the circuit, create fire hazards and inconvenience other passengers, which is why many social media users and commentators urged stricter monitoring inside coaches after the video went viral.
