Hong Kong’s deadliest fire in decades has killed at least 55 people, after the blaze raced through several high-rise buildings in an apartment complex.Hong Kong’s leader has said fires are “under control” in the complex, home to a high percentage of elderly residents. But rescuers are still searching for the many missing residents. The complex was under renovation and encased in bamboo scaffolding and safety netting. Three men who worked for a construction company have been arrested on suspicion of manslaughter in connection with the fire.
