Advisory Board

Diversity,
Voices,
Input, Ideas

TrailCon – North America’s Premier Trail Running Festival – is honored to announce the formation of the inaugural TrailCon Advisory Board, which is filled with amazing trail-running focused superstars as members.

In 2024, the TrailCon founders, Brendan Madigan (Alpenglow Sports/Broken Arrow), Doug Emslie (30+ year event icon) and Dylan Bowman (FreeTrail/Red Bull) hosted A Taste of TrailCon, where over 500 attendees enjoyed pertinent panel topics from heavy hitters in the sport, followed by a vibrant happy hour/networking opportunity. The results from an anonymous post event survey last year were largely used to create the foundation of the 2025 event.

These three industry veterans, while responsible for the initial iteration of the event, maintain that TrailCon should exist and evolve as a collective, where brand partners, athletes, media, and general trail enthusiasts all have a say in the design and content of the event.

With panels and activations focused on the most valuable inspirational and educational topics in the sport and an event attended by all types of participants in the trail community, TrailCon’s goal is to conduct a truly inclusive and collaborative event.

For this, TrailCon needs a diversity of voices, input, ideas and assistance and is our hope that with participant outreach and advice from the amazingly accomplished and diverse personalities on our Advisory Board, we can accomplish this goal.

Over the last several months, a diverse group of 10+ individuals have provided their wisdom, counsel, unique perspectives and, ultimately, vast knowledge and experience to help TrailCon iterate on what the 2025 event should look like. These conversations and knowledge sharing sessions have proven critical to the content and design of the 2025 event.

So, in the interest of the progressive nature of the “collective” and all participants in the trail community, including runners, brands, athletes, and fans…TrailCon founders are proud to announce the 2025 TrailCon Advisory Board..

We’d like to thank the following individuals who have joined our inaugural Advisory Board…They are a group of diverse and amazing humans with different perspectives and life experiences that bring value and expertise to our event.
