In 2009, UltraSignup was founded on a simple, yet uncharted, idea: to seamlessly bring together event registration and live results onto one platform for participants to easily access, enjoy, and be inspired by.
This idea has created a massive database of results, while also setting the foundation for how athletes and race directors analyze the competition in real time. UltraSignup has catapulted into the fastest growing full-service race management company in North America, providing all the essential components for premiere trail races. UltraSignup’s unique layout makes race registration easy, and UltraSignup’s integrated timing software allows participants to receive real time race results once they’ve crossed the finish line.
UltraSignup has bridged the rigor of event organizing with the innovative software to create the ultimate race-management experience. We believe that integrated and high quality technology will lead to a more efficient race management experience, which allows the event directors to focus on what matters: the runners! Thank you for being a part of our journey as we propel trail running and endurance adventure into the future.

The Western States Endurance Run, known commonly as the Western States 100 or Western States, is a 100.2-mile (161 km) ultramarathon that takes place on California’s Sierra Nevada Mountains trails each year on the last full weekend of June. Western States is one of the most competitive ultramarathons in the United States, and is administered by the nonprofit Western States Endurance Run Foundation.
The Western States 100 is one of the five 100-mile races that comprise the Grand Slam of Ultrarunning, which also includes the Old Dominion 100 in Virginia, the Vermont 100 Mile Endurance Run, the Wasatch Front 100 Mile Endurance Run in Utah, and the Leadville Trail 100 in Colorado. One of the more prestigious ultramarathons in the world, it is a qualifier for the UTMB World Series, although the UTMB organization has a major competing race in the same area with a similar course, called “Canyons Endurance Runs by UTMB”.
On June 19-22, 2025, elite and recreational participants will experience an unforgettable trail running experience “where the mountains meet the sky.” Each distance celebrates the beauty of Lake Tahoe, the Jewel of the Sierra Nevada.
Designed in the vein of classic European Skyraces, the Broken Arrow Skyrace represents a unique style of mountain running characterized by off-trail scrambling on steep terrain and featuring massive amounts of vertical gain and loss…at altitude….with exposure, hand lines, a ladder, and dramatic (up to 40 degrees) snow slopes thrown in for good measure!
The Broken Arrow Skyrace features nine distances: a 46k, 23k, 18k, Vertical K, 11k, Triple Crown (the Ascent/23k/46k), the Iron Crown (IFC/23k/46k), the Iron Face Challenge, and a kids race. These races are unique in California as most of the terrain is above the tree line. Runners are treated to spectacular views of Lake Tahoe’s emerald-blue waters and Palisade Tahoe’s unmistakable high-alpine terrain.
Elite and recreational participants run and then celebrate together with first-class food, craft beer, music, seminars, films, and fun activities for the whole family.
Palisades Tahoe is the largest ski resort in the Lake Tahoe region, boasting 6,000 skiable acres across two mountains. Formerly Squaw Valley Alpine Meadows, the more than 70-year-old resort celebrates a rich history as the host of the 1960 Winter Olympics, the Spring Skiing Capital, and home mountain to dozens of Olympic and World Cup athletes across multiple snow sports. With an average annual snowfall of 400 inches, Palisades Tahoe frequently operates the longest ski and snowboard season in Lake Tahoe. The Village at Palisades Tahoe offers year-round events and over 50 bars, restaurants and boutiques, many of which are locally owned and operated.
