Doug Mayer

Doug Mayer is the founder of Run the Alps, a trail running tour company that hosts hundreds of trail runners throughout the Alps each summer. A former producer for NPR, Mayer is also a journalist who has written for magazines and web sites on both sides of the Atlantic. He is the author or co-author of five trail running books, including The Race that Changed Running: The Inside Story of UTMB. His new book, Last of the Giants, is a graphic novel about Italy’s 330-km trail race, Tor des Géants, which he has completed three times. He lives in Chamonix, France.
