Finding a cure for follicular lymphoma faster!

About us

The Follicular Lymphoma Foundation is the first organisation in the world dedicated solely to finding new treatments and cures for follicular lymphoma. Follicular lymphoma is a currently incurable blood cancer. The FLF was founded by Nicola Mendelsohn three years after her diagnosis with the disease and is focused on funding and facilitating work that will take new treatments and cures for the disease from bench to bedside in the quickest possible timeframe. We are doing this by disrupting and challenging the current thinking on how to find a cure for this disease, by mobilising patients and investing in the most promising scientific and research discovery approaches.

Updates

  • U.S. treatment update for follicular lymphoma On November 18, 2025, the FDA approved epcoritamab-bysp (EPKINLY®) in combination with rituximab and lenalidomide for adults with relapsed or refractory follicular lymphoma after at least one prior therapy. This approval applies to patients in the United States. This approval provides an additional treatment option for adults living with follicular lymphoma in the US. Patients are encouraged to speak with their clinical teams about whether this therapy may be appropriate for them. Learn more on our website: https://lnkd.in/evXTbQRi

  • Choosing Your Next Treatment: What FL Patients Should Know In our recent webinar Dr. Mitchell Smith, FLF’s Chief Medical Officer, brings together Professor Kim Linton, a global leader in lymphoma research and care, and FL survivor and entrepreneur Ari Akerstein for an important discussion on FL treatment decisions. In this short snippet Professor Linton highlights what patients should consider when planning their next treatment including how to assess options and when it may be time to explore new therapies or clinical trials.  Watch the full webinar here: https://lnkd.in/enFXUcDp

  • We were so delighted to welcome Patient Advocate, Nicky Greenhalgh, to London recently. It was incredibly special to spend time together in person. Nicky joined us on Tuesday for our Patient Celebration marking 10 years since she launched the Living with FL community, now at an amazing 15,000+ members. She also sat down with our founder Nicola Mendelsohn CBE to record a powerful podcast conversation that we cannot wait to share soon! On Thursday, Nicky spoke at the Unlock the Cure Gala Dinner and moved the room with her honesty, courage and hope. Her words were a powerful reminder of why this community matters so much. You can watch Nicky’s full speech here: https://lnkd.in/e_XVF5hg A huge thank you to Nicky and to everyone who helped make these events so special.

  • It's been one a week since our incredible FLF meet up in central London and our hearts are still full. It was so wonderful to see so many from the community coming together and meeting in person. It was a great opportunity to share stories, build relationships and learn from one another.💜 We also celebrated a special milestone. The Living with Follicular Lymphoma group marked its 10-year anniversary and welcomed it's 15,000th member on the evening. Shout out to Diageo and their wonderful team for hosting us. We'll be sharing some footage from the night very soon. Stay tuned!

  • What a night! 🔓💜 Thank you to everyone who joined or supported us at the Unlock the Cure Gala, an evening filled with generosity, connection and hope. We’ve already surpassed last year’s total, raising an incredible £900,000 so far, with every pound bringing us closer to unlocking the cure.  As our CEO Emma France said last night: “‘Treatable but incurable’ has never been good enough, and it shouldn’t be. Together, we’re closing that gap faster than ever before.” That determination was echoed by Nicky Greenhalgh, Founder of the Facebook Group Living with Follicular Lymphoma, who shared her story of living with FL and reminded us all why this mission matters: “For the first time, I don’t feel alone. The Foundation and this community give me real hope that one day, we won’t have to live with this disease.” Together, this extraordinary community is helping us fund groundbreaking research, unite the world’s leading scientists, and bring new treatments to patients faster, moving closer to a future where “incurable” no longer exists.  Thank you to our sponsors: dmg media, T&P, News UK, Diageo, Universal Music Group UK, Coolr, LetterOne Thank you to Tania Bryer OBE for being the most wonderful host once again. Thank you to Kerry Ellis, whose stunning performance lit up the room and made the night even more unforgettable. 🎤✨ And a final big thank you to Nicola Mendelsohn CBE and Jess Burley for making this the great night it is.
