School History

Windsor Village Elementary School opened its main building in 1960, with a second wing added in 1964. In 1976, the school began a Vanguard magnet program for gifted students. By 1992, the Vanguard magnet program served students from many different backgrounds. In spring 1993 classrooms were rearranged so Vanguard and neighborhood students could be served seamlessly. The campus has been a proud partner of the community in its pursuit of academic excellence.
