Are JavaScript and CSS files also delivered with the Content Delivery Network?

    I am using the free version of Jetpack Boost.

    Will any JavaScript and CSS files also be delivered via Jetpack’s Content Delivery Network or is it just images?

    Hi @marisa2023 ,

    First, thanks for trying out Jetpack Boost! Good question you have there.

    Jetpack’s Site Accelerator, a feature on Jetpack Boost does include some CSS and JavaScript files in its free/paid CDN, but there are important restrictions about which files are actually served. The ones that are served are static files from WordPress core, Jetpack, and WooCommerce.

    However, static files from your theme or other third-party plugins, such as additional CSS or JavaScript, are not delivered through Jetpack’s CDN on either the free or paid Boost plan. These will continue to be loaded directly from your own server.

    Just curious, were you asking about third party JavaScript/CSS files specifically?
