How do I remove the miniOrange API Authentication Analytics banner that’s now on a lot of admin pages.

There aren’t screen options for it, or options in the settings of the plugin, or any mention of it in docs or FAQs.

The header is massive and unhelpful, please let me remove it easily.

    Hello!

Thank you for your important feedback.

We have added this feature to help the administrator aware of the security status of the site, so the administrator can take appropriate actions in case of suspicious API requests. However, we will give an option to close the analytics information banner in the next update that we will roll out next week.

For now, if required you can revert to the 3.4.0 version of the plugin.

Please let us know if you have any other questions, we’d be happy to help!

    Thanks,
    Team miniOrange

    Hi @outdoorsdev1 ,

    Thanks for the patience.

We just rolled out a new version 3.5.3 that consist of the fix for the issue you had. Now you can remove the notice manually if you don’t want to analyze the API access statistics. The analytics will show again after 7 days, so that you can get overview of the complete week. But you can simply remove it again by clicking on close button.

Please have a look and let us know the updates.

    Thanks,
    Team miniOrange

This works but I don’t want to click to remove it once every 7 days. I don’t need the stats, and if I do you could let me toggle them on or off in settings.

Otherwise, this is essentially just an ad for possibly upgrading.

    Thanks for the reply, @outdoorsdev1.

The analytics feature is just meant to aware site admins about security so every one is aware considering we are seeing a lot of data leakage here and there on the WordPress sites due to unawareness that unsecure APIs can also leaks the data even your site is well protected behind login. Showing this banner has nothing to do with an advertisement for possible upgrading.

Also, we will consider your point and can think of releasing this as toggle setting in the future releases.

    Thanks,
    Team miniOrange
