Zoom not working when map is in a different page

    Using “Extensions for Leaflet” v4.4.3 and “Leaflet Map” v3.4.1 on WordPress v6.7.2

    In this source page https://steppingstoneforests.org/maptestsource/
    The “Internal Link” at the bottom uses a [targetlink] pointing to the map in this same page.
    The zoom option works fine.

    The “External Link” uses a [targetlink] to point to a target map in another page(https://steppingstoneforests.org/maptestext/), the zoom option does not work.

    If a zoom option is specified in the [targetmarker] shortcode in the target map then that zoom value is used.
    However it would be preferable if the zoom option in the [targetlink] worked as this would allow a different zoom option value for each marker.

    I can’t figure out what I am doing wrong.

    This option is not implemented. I will take a look.

    Maybe Leaflet.Permalink is an option for you.

    Thanks for looking into that.
    I will wait for the next version and in the meantime use the zoom value in the [targetmarker] shortcode.

    P.S. I tried the leaflet.Permalink. Again it works just great for a map on the same page but i could not get it to work for a map on a different page!

    You can test the Github version, please download it from tags.

    It’s good that I looked at it again. I found some bugs and revised the documentation.
