Mars Photo API is unavailable

Today, the API repository was archived. The Mars Rover Photos documentation block on api.nasa.org is now invalid. Will there be a replacement that will allow us to obtain photos of Mars just as easily?

It looks like NASA has halted several of its API services, which might also include the Mars Rover Photos API. Refer to this thread — nasa/apod-api#139 for more info on this issue.
