Pre-K Enrollment

Age Requirement:

• 3 years old on or before September 1 for 3-year-old programs
• 4 years old on or before September 1 for 4-year-old programs

Residency: Must live within Houston ISD boundaries

Eligibility: Check if your child qualifies. If you believe your child qualifies for free Pre-K, click here to check eligibility requirements.

Tuition: If your child is not eligible for free Pre-K, there is a tuition option. For the school year 2025-2026, be prepared to pay the tuition amount of $6,744 or 9 payments of $749 each month if your child does not qualify for free Pre-K.

• Utility bill or 
• Lease agreement or
• If homeless, complete the Student Residency Questionnaire (SRQ) at the school

Original birth certificate or other document showing child's birthdate

Picture ID of the child’s parent or guardian

1. Find your campus using School Navigator
2. See which schools have seats available in the Pre-K Seats Available Dashboard. 
3. Complete the Pre-K application, upload all required documents (Proof of residence, proof of age, and parent ID), and complete registration forms.
