Congress Debate:

November Legislation 

• Morning: 11-15
• Afternoon: 16-20

The congress session will only include discussion of the above items.  Items slated for discussion in the morning will not be covered in the afternoon and vice versa.  Students should prepare to discuss any of the items listed in the docket selection above. 

Cross Examination: The United States federal government should significantly increase its exploration and/or development of the Arctic.

Lincoln Douglas Fall: Resolved: In the United States, compulsory national service ought to be valued over personal autonomy.

Public Forum November: Resolved: The United States federal government should require technology companies to provide lawful access to encrypted communications.

World Schools Tournament 3 Prepared: This House believes that hacktivism is a legitimate tool of resistance.

• Info Slide: Hacktivism refers to the use of cyberattacks and hacking techniques to advance political, social, or ideological causes.

This motion will be used for rounds 2 and 3.  Rounds 1 and 2 will be impromptu motions announced on the day.
