AI generated summary: Today, I enjoyed a longer bike tour, exploring new areas and soaking in the sun. I ended up freezing on the way back and had to take a delayed train. Despite the cold, the ride was worth it, filling me with endorphins. Next time, I'll remember to bring my warm jacket!

Today, with the weather at a nice 19 °C, I took the chance for another bike tour. I had tried out my new, warmer cycling clothes yesterday during a long break from work, but since the weather will be much colder soon, I really wanted to get this second ride in.

The ride yesterday was enjoyable, but it was too short for me. So, I decided on a longer tour today, heading to the area where I was hiking last weekend (hiking during the vacation was so much fun, so why not hike at home as well?). I arrived just as the sun was setting.

Because I did not want to go back the same way (mostly on a cycle path along a busy road), I decided spontaneously to take a different, longer way home (about 10 km extra) through a small city that has a train station as a backup. But the sun was away now, and it got much colder, down to only 9 °C. I started to freeze quickly.

I used the backup option. However, this resulted in waiting another 30 minutes freezing at the train station because the train was very delayed.

But even though it ended with that freezing wait, the trip was worth it. Doing bike rides through the beautiful nature and getting those sun rays always activates so many good endorphins in me.

I should have known better and taken my brand-new warm bike jacket directly instead of only the warm jersey. It seems I had to learn this the hard way!

At home, I took a warm shower.
