As we gather in gratitude today, Sasha Bruce Youthwork reaffirms our mission to help youth and families find safety, stability, and the opportunities they deserve. We are deeply thankful for our incredible staff, whose compassion and commitment make this work possible every day. We are equally grateful to the young people who trust us to walk alongside them. You inspire us with your courage, resilience, and hope. To our community of donors, volunteers, partners, and supporters: thank you for standing with us. Your generosity and belief in our mission help ensure that youth experiencing homelessness and housing instability have a pathway to a brighter future. We also honor the original stewards of the land we live and serve on, the Indigenous peoples of the DC area, including the Nacotchtank (Anacostan) and Piscataway communities. Thank you for being part of our work and our family 🦃

🦃💛 Community care in action at BEZ! Today, our team came together to distribute turkeys, fresh produce, and groceries to families in Prince George’s County, ensuring they have what they need to enjoy a warm and nourishing holiday season. A heartfelt thank-you to Safeway. And deep appreciation to Pastor Oliver Carter, BEZ Program Manager and Street Outreach Program, for his leadership and for mobilizing incredible support. We’re also grateful to No Limits Outreach Ministries, Connected Communities Counseling LLC, and the Capital Area Food Bank for helping prepare beautiful produce bags, checking food quality, and making distribution smooth and dignified for every family we served. It truly takes a village, and today, this village showed up with love. 💛 #CommunityCare #HolidayGiving #SashaBruceYouthwork #BEZ #PGCounty #YouthHope #ThankYouPartners

DMV native Travy Nostra has become a force for empowerment across art, wellness, and service. As the founder of You Got The Juice, a cold-pressed juicing company featured at Cordelia Fish Bar DC in Union Market, Travy delivers more than healthy beverages he delivers hope and inspiration. Recently, he’s been donating clothing and living essentials to young people at our DC Drop-In Center, reminding our youth that community care and wellness go hand in hand. Outside of business, Travy is also a rising artist in the DMV hip-hop scene, recognized by Revolt TV for his lyrical skill and authentic storytelling. Whether he’s behind a mic, a juicer, or sponsoring a donation drive, Travy Nostra’s message stays the same — empower your people, stay authentic, and give back. The Sasha Bruce team extends our deepest gratitude to Travy for his continued partnership and for uplifting our youth with purpose and passion.

Partnerships that inspire creativity and hope. 💚 We’re so grateful to our friends at Artbae®LLC for their incredible partnership with our REACH program! Through their Art Therapy workshops, Artbae has helped youth explore creativity, self-expression, and positive affirmations, turning art into a tool for healing and growth. Beyond the workshops, Artbae also raised $500 through their H.A.T.S. O.F.F. to Artbae initiative and the Crowns of Resilience exhibition in support of Sasha Bruce Youthwork. They’re even creating custom affirmation hats as special gifts of encouragement for our youth. Thank you, Artbae, for reminding us that when creativity meets compassion, incredible things happen. #Artbae #ArtbeforeAnythingElse #Created2Create #YouthHopeMonth #HopeAndHome #SashaBruceYouthwork

As we recognize Youth Hope Month, this story hits close to home. Even as homelessness declines overall in D.C., more LGBTQ+ young people are without a safe place to stay. We’re here to change that, and to remind every youth that hope and home are possible. https://lnkd.in/epp9z-TQ

“I’ve rooted a lot of shame in my homelessness. Now I know success means different things for different people.” Sandi, a resident in our Passages program, spoke with Valerie Jarrett about confidence, community, and believing in herself. Her story is a powerful reminder that your right now isn’t your forever. Read her story: https://lnkd.in/ePSXbUUt #YouthHomelessness #Empowerment #LikeAPhoenix #SashaBruceYouthwork

We’re so grateful to Michael Modisett and the incredible students at Capitol Hill Day School for collecting and donating winter gear for youth at our Barracks Row Drop-In Center. Their kindness will help keep young people warm this season, and they’re not stopping there! The students are already planning another drive in January to collect clothing and food. It’s partnerships like these that remind us: community care makes all the difference. 💚 #CommunitySupport #YouthHope #WinterWarmth #SashaBruceYouthwork
