Everyday Health’s Post

In recognition of Alzheimer’s Awareness Month, Everyday Health’s video series The Exchange features a powerful conversation between a neurologist, an Alzheimer’s patient, and their caregiver. Together, they break down the early signs of mild cognitive impairment (MCI) and how these symptoms can indicate the beginning stages of Alzheimer’s. Early detection is critical — and it often begins with recognizing subtle shifts. By raising awareness and fostering understanding, we can help drive better care, greater compassion, and improved outcomes for all impacted by Alzheimer’s disease. Such an important reminder. Early detection is only one part of the equation — people also need clear, practical guidance on how to stay cognitively and emotionally engaged from day one. Even small changes in language, memory, or daily tasks can be frightening, and families often feel lost between diagnosis and meaningful support. Awareness like this helps bridge that gap and encourages earlier, more person-centered interventions.
