We need to stop policing students with about AI use!!!! Hear me out. Why Some Teachers Push Back Against AI in Education Resistance to AI in classrooms often stems less from the technology itself and more from a gap in digital competency. Many educators were trained in a pre-digital era, and their teaching methods haven’t evolved to match the pace of Gen Z learners—students who think, create, and collaborate in tech-driven environments. The rapid rise of AI is exposing this skills gap, reminding us that educators need to reskill and reimagine their practice to stay relevant and impactful. AI should be embraced as a companion in the modern classroom, not a competitor. The future of learning is Human → AI → Human—a continuous cycle of curiosity, creativity, and connection. Bias in AI doesn’t stay inside the algorithm. It spills into classrooms, shaping how real students are evaluated, supported, or overlooked. When an AI system misreads a student’s facial expression, accent, communication style, cultural cues, or behavioral patterns tied to gender, age, or ethnicity, it creates a silent layer of misunderstanding that can derail a learner’s progress. Instead of unlocking personalized learning, bias turns the promise of adaptive education into a distorted mirror. Students who need targeted support may never receive it, while others may be wrongly categorized, misjudged, or pushed into learning paths that don’t reflect their true abilities. The danger is subtle: the inequality deepens while the system appears “smart.” This is why responsible AI in education must be intentional from the foundation. It demands inclusive training data, transparent evaluation, human oversight, and a culture where builders and educators take responsibility for every learner affected by their systems. True innovation means making sure every student is seen accurately, fairly, and fully. AI can transform education, but only if it serves every learner with clarity and respect. #AIInEducation #AIforstudent #ClassroomAI #AIInClassroom

How do we introduce AI to our children? The approach isn't straightforward, but it hinges on thoughtful guidance. AI's Impact on Education: A Valuable Resource AI has the potential to ignite imagination and inquisitiveness in young individuals, revolutionizing education to be more interactive and inclusive. Through tailored learning platforms and language aids, AI provides children with resources that adapt to their learning pace and preferences. Rather than supplanting traditional educational methods, AI complements them, aiding children in realizing their capabilities and nurturing critical thinking from an early age. Maintaining Equilibrium: Preserving Mental Well-being Nevertheless, like any technological advancement, maintaining a balance is essential. Excessive screen exposure and overreliance on AI for solutions can diminish genuine human connections and emotional intelligence. It is imperative to cultivate qualities such as resilience, empathy, and social adeptness in children—traits that algorithms cannot duplicate. By establishing limits and fostering open dialogues regarding the role of AI, we empower children to view technology as a resource, not a crutch. Charting the Path Ahead AI is an enduring presence in our world. Our duty is to mentor, not shield, our children—educating them on leveraging the benefits of AI while prioritizing their holistic development and well-being. Let's collaborate, educate, and set a positive example to equip the next generation for a future where technology amplifies their innate human strengths. #AI #Education #MentalHealth #FutureOfLearning #Parenting

Artificial Intelligence is reshaping education by transforming how we teach, learn, and create knowledge. It opens new possibilities for personalized and inclusive learning through adaptive systems, intelligent tutoring, and creative tools that support both teachers and students. Our MMTC member Lucia Pizzichini, PhD has co-authored a chapter in Springer volume Human-Computer Creativity: Generative AI in Education, Art and Healthcare (2025) in the chapter “Role of AI in Transforming Educational Models: A Critical Analysis of Opportunities and Challenges”. She, with her co-author Federica Caboni, explores how AI-driven technologies can personalize learning, support creativity, and foster inclusion. It highlights how AI can support teachers through adaptive systems, intelligent tutoring, and automation, allowing more focus on mentorship and critical thinking. At the same time, it critically examines challenges such as data privacy, the digital divide, and ethical concerns around authenticity and dependence on AI tools. This research invites us to see AI not as a replacement for human learning, but as a tool that should amplify understanding, equity, and collaboration. Resistance to AI is not recommended. But not all people know the proper usage of AI . Instead of learning actively using AI, their methodologies are often passive, and they have a false sense of learning while they actually are not, and getting dumber than before. So for the next time we mention the importance of AI, we must too mention how to use it, and how not to use it. The humain brain tries to waste minimal brain effort, which is why people enjoy passive learning more, effortless and useless.
