Your daily life as a Google user will soon look slightly different. The logos for both Google Maps and Google Photos are reportedly set for a revamp.

The news comes from Google-focused tech website 9to5Google, which reported it got a look at new, gradient-style logos from an unidentified source. You can see the apparent changes in the site's X post.

The changes are relatively subtle. It essentially mirrors the old logos but instead adds a smooth, gradient color scheme. The change wouldn't be completely unexpected. Google has worked to revamp its look as it — like seemingly every other company — increases its focus on AI capabilities.

The company made a similar update in September when it changed its logo for the first time in a decade, also implementing a gradient color scheme. With the new look, Google said it was highlighting the growing role of AI.

"The new 'Google G' now represents all of Google — both our brand and the company — and visually reflects our evolution in the AI era," Google wrote about changing its logo in September. "While staying true to Google’s iconic four colors, the brighter hues and gradient design symbolize the surge of AI-driven innovation and creative energy across our products and technology."

So the changes to Maps and Photos seems to be more of the same from Google.
