Every single Kindle is on sale for Prime Day 2023
UPDATE: Jul. 11, 2023, 9:30 p.m. EDT This story has been updated with the latest Kindle deals of Amazon Prime Day 2023.
We've got very good news for readers and bibliophiles: The best Prime Day Kindle deals are officially live as of this writing. The Kindle is by far the most popular e-reader, and the best time to grab it is during an Amazon Prime savings event like Prime Day, which is going on right now. This year, Prime Day 2023 takes place over 48 hours on July 11 and July 12. As always, the sale's headline deals include serious Amazon device markdowns (and therefore Kindle markdowns), and we're seeing Kindles on sale starting at just $65.
If you're anything like us, you've literally run out of space to store all of your books, which is just one of the reasons to make the jump and try out a Kindle e-reader. If you're adding books to your reading list way faster than you're finishing them, you might want to try an e-reader. The convenience of having a slim, portable device that can store an entire library might give you one fewer reason to flake on your annual reading goals — plus, there's nothing like seeing that Goodreads number go up.
Prime Day 2023 is also a great excuse to upgrade if you have an older-model Kindle, as Amazon released a new generation of Kindle products in 2022. We gave the entry-level Kindle a glowing review recently, and we tried our hand at the note-taking Kindle Scribe as well. Both products are at record-low prices, and we recommend you shop the best Prime Day Kindle deals before the markdowns end.

Best overall Kindle deal
Why we like it
Prime Day always brings some can't-miss Amazon device deals, and some of this year's best Prime Day Kindle deals are extremely tempting. First up, we have the recently upgraded entry-level Kindle (2022 release), which starts at just $64.99. Keep in mind that version features those annoying lockscreen ads, so we recommend opting for the ad-free Kindle, which is also on sale for Prime Day.
Why we like it
The Kindle Paperwhite is no longer Amazon's newest Kindle, but it's still one of the best e-readers in the world. And as part of Amazon's Prime Day sale on Kindles, it's reached a record-low price of $84.99. Previously, we were excited when the Paperwhite was priced at $94.99. The Paperwhite features a 6.8-inch screen, but what sets it apart from the regular Kindle? The Paperwhite has smaller borders and adjustable warm light settings; the battery and screen are also slightly better.

Best deal for kids
Why we like it
This trusty little e-reader for the kiddos doesn't offer access to apps, videos, or games — meaning your child will be able to focus solely on reading (and do so with the help of an included one-year subscription to Amazon Kids+ for free). The Kindle thus provides a library of thousands of kid-friendly books to help turn your little ones into lifelong readers. This Kindle isn't waterproof, but it does come with a cover.
