McLaren and Lego teamed up to create this full-size, drivable version of the iconic McLaren P1 for a Lego Technic challenge. The unique car was assembled with 342,817 Lego Technic elements and weighs around 1,120 kilograms (2469.2 pounds).
Equipped with an electric motor made of Lego Technic Function batteries and an electric car battery, the vehicle can travel further than any other Lego model before. Reaching almost 40mph, it is also the first life-size Lego car with fully functional steering, allowing it to turn on difficult racetrack corners.
The car was tested by British McLaren F1 driver Lando Norris who took the Lego model for a spin around the famous Silverstone Circuit, completing a 5.891-kilometre (3.66-mile) track.
