Oracle’s definition of public sector extends beyond (but includes) traditional government agencies and ministries. The definition also includes entities in which a government has 30% or more ownership, voting control, and/or the ability to appoint officers or directors. For example, airlines, financial institutions, telecom companies, utilities, energy exploration companies, hospitals, and other businesses can qualify.

Public-sector attendees registering under the government rate may be required to show their employer-issued government ID or other proof of government employment, as well as a government-issued photo ID, during check-in at the Oracle AI World registration desks at The Venetian Conference and Expo Center. Oracle may, at its sole discretion, charge the full Oracle AI World conference rate to anyone not satisfying these requirements, or it may cancel ineligible registrations. Government discounts, with or without the Oracle AI World party, are available only to those who qualify. Public-sector employees are not eligible to use a complimentary pass, group pass, or pass provided by another party to register for Oracle AI World. View the full terms and conditions for the public-sector pass here.
