Hi, I wanted to know if there was any way to use the file browser in matplotlib without having to import any additional libraries other than plyplot? I would like to add a key event that saves data so an hdf5 file rather than png, which is what pyplot does now. (i.e. is there something similar to the QtGUI openfile dialog in pyplot?) I am new to matplotlib so if I'd be open to hear any alternative recommendations. thanks, julien -- View this message in context: http://matplotlib.1069221.n5.nabble.com/Use-matplotlib-filebrowser-tp45999.html Sent from the matplotlib - users mailing list archive at Nabble.com. |

You may need to remove the alpha=0.05 or set it as 1 I think.

Remove the `alpha=0.05` kwargs which is setting the alpha to be almost
transparent.

For some reason when I plot a scatter plot like this:
plt.scatter(diamonds['carat'], diamonds['price'], color = 'black', alpha =
0.05)
plt.xlabel('Carat')
plt.ylabel('Price')
I get a blurry scatter plot as shown in the image
<http://matplotlib.1069221.n5.nabble.com/file/n45995/matplotlib_scatter.png>
I want something more like this:
<http://matplotlib.1069221.n5.nabble.com/file/n45995/Scatter_Good.png>
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

Existing users need to resubscribe. The list is so old and full of obsolete and spammy e-mails we thought it best to start afresh. Hello Micheal, Do existing matplotlib-users subscribers need to re-subscribe on the new list , or have our emails rolled over to the new list?
