please forget what I've said. The PHP/Java Bridge code is correct.
Java.inc is difficult to read because it doesn't contain any
indentation. Here's the code from Protocol.inc:

But the back end response would be interesting nevertheless. Can you
please edit the Java.inc read function as follows and send the output?

thank you very much for the bug report. This is a regression.

Since PHP/Java Bridge 6 the bridge requires HTTP/1.1 chunked
connections. So the code in line 1026ff is now completely wrong:

Line 1027 is:
$len=$this->headers['content_length'];
for($str=fread($this->socket,$len); strlen($str)<$len;
$str.=fread($this->socket,$len-strlen($str)));

I guess we've tested the code against servers which send both, the
CONTENT_LENGTH and Transfer-Encoding: chunked header fields.


I will fix this for the upcoming version 6.1.2. Thanks again for this
bug report.
