FYI. I tried something that has helped. I was looking over the PHP code
and noticed that I never destroyed the Java object, so I set it to null
after getting the result string back. I'm not sure if that's the proper
way to destroy an object in Java or not. Then to be safe I rebooted the
web server. It threw the error the first time I ran the code, but has run
several times since then no problem. I'm not warm and fuzzy, but I have
been able to complete my objective for this afternoon.
I appreciate any input and am going to continue working on this. We are
starting to move things to web interfaces and this is the only approach on
Linux that allows PHP access to Unidata. At least that I have been able
to find.
I appreciate any ideas and will continue monitoring the list.
Thank you very much.,

Subject: [Php-java-bridge-users] php-java-bridge on ubuntu hardy
I tried to compile the debian package on ubuntu hardy and it worked
fine, but when I install it wants tomcat5 which is no longer available.
tomcat5.5 comes with hardy. Is it possible to change the debian package
to use tomcat5.5?
