Problem appears to either be with my JDBC driver or Filemaker, not the
bridge.  I tested with a Java DB test app Filemaker gives out.

Thanks, I actually did have the JVM loaded.  Through debugging, I
realized it was my JDBC connection that was slow.  I started a new
thread for it.
