Have you looked at the PHP/Java Bridge documentation? From the INSTALL.J2EE document:

1. Install Tomcat

2. Copy JavaBridge.war [1] to tomcat/webapps, wait until webapps/JavaBridge appears

3. Copy the JavaBridge directory to apache.

4. Browse to http://yourHost.com/JavaBridge and run the supplied examples.

[1] or rename JavaBridge.war to myPhpWebApplication.war, if appropriate.

The only manual I know of is the INSTALL.J2EE document contained in the download archive, which
contains the above information.
