Jost, thanks for your quick response as usual.

Then the problem should be in the API I'm working with, because my classes
are quite simple. They just call the methods of the API and work for me as =

clearer interface to call from PHP. However the API seems to be working fin=

for other people and I should assume that they don't have problems of this
sort.

I will read the article you suggested and I'm posting the report on
SourceForge.

By installing an application server or servlet engine you mean installing
Tomcat? (I apologize for my ignorance but I haven't worked much with Java
and JSP). Can you send me an article that explains how to do this shift?
The problem is that the application is on its latest stages of development
and the hardware and server configuration has been already approved and I'm
not sure if they will like very much to reinstall the web servers at this
stage. It's not my call at least.

we can reproduce this problem?
Please also specify which java version you use.

We'll look at this issue asap.


As a workaround please use a servlet engine or application server. -- This might not solve your
problem, though, as your application server might report the same error if you deploy/undeploy
your application more than once. -- Do you use seam?

Just use it. Version 4.x can use an advanced protocol which tries to avoid round-trips as much as
possible. This protocol is currently switched off, so there shouldn't be any issues.

The protocol needs two interfaces in the PHP core; it depends on the release date of PHP 6.

Does anyone have a rough estimate or guess when the current 4.x dev branch =
will be moved to the stable build?

The 4.x pure PHP implementation works well with PHP 5.x and i would rather =
use that one for production if possible.
