With BIRT you can create data visualizations, dashboards and reports that can be embedded into web applications and rich clients. Make information out of your data! BIRT means Business Intelligence Reporting Tool, and that sums it up quite nicely. BIRT can pull and combine data from many different data sources (Databases, files, Java, Javascript, web services, etc..) and use this data for reporting (textual) and charting (visual). BIRT is an open-source software project that provides the BIRT technology platform to create data visualizations. Users can embed reports into desktop and web applications, especially those based on Java and Jakarta EE. BIRT is a top-level software project within the Eclipse Foundation. The BIRT project addresses a wide range of reporting needs. Reporting capabilities in an application are often implemented in an ad hoc fashion by the application developer, using technology that is not ideal for developing a one-off solution for that application.

Eclipse GlassFish is a Jakarta EE compatible implementation sponsored by the Eclipse Foundation. We are happy to announce the final release of Eclipse GlassFish 6.1. This release provides implementations of the Jakarta EE 9.1 Platform and Web Profile specifications. Download links are available from the GlassFish Download page. Eclipse GlassFish 6.1 implements the Jakarta EE 9.1 specification (Jakarta EE 9.1 Platform, Jakarta EE 9 Web Profile). This is the first release candidate of Eclipse GlassFish 6.1 and is available for download. Eclipse GlassFish 6.1 is targetted to be a Compatible Implementation of Jakarta EE 9.1. Note this release requires JDK 11. The final release is scheduled to coincide with the final release of Jakarta EE 9.1.

MacHTTP-js is currently available for preview on macOS now. As a brand new application, MacHTTP-js includes features never envisioned in the original when it was first released in 1992. MacHTTP-js is written from the ground up using the node.js platform, which means it is a cross-platform application that can run on macOS, Windows, and Linux operating systems. MacHTTP-js is a full-featured Web server for 21st century desktops and servers. A "preview" release is available now for Mac users, followed by a general release for Windows 10 and Linux computers, including support for Docker. This is a full-featured release for macOS and other O/S versions will follow shortly.
