I've just noticed that my alt+2 hotkey for opening CodeLens show references window I've been using for years changed to alt+3. This happened only on my PC, on my laptop it's still on alt+2. There is no option in tools->options->keyboard to change this binding, Google doesn't know, I've even asked ChatGPT (also nothing). I've tried searching through the CurrentSettings.vssettings file, no luck.

How can I change this back to alt+2?

  • If you right click on the button you should be able to set the keybinding. Commented Jun 11 at 9:59
  • Unfortunately no. Right clicking the 'x reference(s)' button above the method shows only 'CodeLens Options' that takes me to Tools->Options->Text Editor->CodeLens, and there is no option to change keybindings here. Commented Jun 11 at 10:41
