I signed up for github copilot and it appears to be connected to Visual Studio. But I have this "By continuing, you agree to GitHub's terms and privacy policy." message in the chat panel (see image below). How do I "agree" or "continue"?

My colleague said that he had to change some setting in github.com to enable VS chat but he doesn't recall what it was. He clicked the "You can change these settings at any time" link.

Panel I see in VS

  1. Go to https://github.com/settings/copilot and turn on “Copilot Chat in IDEs”.

  2. In Visual Studio, re-sign in via Extensions → GitHub Copilot → Sign in and authorize the Chat app in your browser.

  3. Restart Visual Studio and reopen the Copilot Chat window.

Edit : no thing to do with it

Where is the setting "Copilot Chat in IDEs". There are pages of setting here.
you can sign up with github and redirect to web page then you can access
I did all that. My question is why do I still see this screen?
reinstall the extension and check the github copilot setting
I have no extension installed
Or do you mean the feature enabled with the VS Installer?
I disabled and then re-enabled the copilot feature using VS Installer. I relaunched VS. I still see the screen that I originally posted.
Again, how do I "agree and continue"?
have you installed github copilot extension in vs code
once install extension and try it ... It works
When I search "copilot" in extensions, there are dozens of hits. Which one is it?
from github.com
"Visual Studio 2022 now includes the functionality from this extension out of the box."
That's about VS Code
Sorry Sorry then youtube.com/…
That shows using it and not the initial setup
