scriptl project has nested git repos, so quickload misses code.

in the scriptl project, src/scriptlcom is linked to another github repo, and while the scriptl project builds without this code, scriptlcom code seems to be required for runtime. Dunno if quicklisp supports recursively cloning or if this is a bug.

I use git archive to make tarballs for quicklisp. It looks like that command skips submodules. Do you know of a good way to make an archive of a repo with submodules?

https://github.com/meitar/git-archive-all.sh/wiki is a potential solution but it will take time to integrate it into my workflow - and it might not solve the problem, either.

Is it possible, too, to just not use submodules for now? I can add another project to quicklisp if it helps.

All right, I've switched from submodule to subtree. Github apparently doesn't like to browse this, but if you clone the repository, it seems to work fine. The following should produce a valid project with no special checkout requirements:
