It's no longer maintained, and is not compatible with newer versions of Node. Ref: https://sass-lang.com/blog/node-fibers-discontinued
This prevents an error that happens on upgrade, where newer versions of VuetifyLoaderPlugin want VueLoaderPlugin to have been defined first.
Later versions of sass are not compatible with vuetify, and spit out a lot of deprecation warnings. See vuetifyjs/vuetify#13694
