 <dependency>
 <groupId>org.springframework.data</groupId>
 <artifactId>spring-data-mongodb</artifactId>
 <version>1.1.0.BUILD-SNAPSHOT</version>
</dependency>

But Iam getting follwing error :

  • I looked at mvn repository and the maximum version number is 1.0.4.RELEASE. Are you using a different repository? Commented Nov 17, 2012 at 9:26
  • @Chetter Hummin : I have used dependency from following link: springsource.org/spring-data/mongodb#documentation Commented Nov 17, 2012 at 9:29
  • Please try 1.1.0.M1 as the version Commented Nov 17, 2012 at 9:33

The error suggests that your pom.xml has errors- it's not following the xml schema.

Without seeing the whole file, it's tricky to say the exact cause, but I'm guessing you're missing the opening <dependencies> tag.

Here's an example from the maven site.

<project>
  ...
  <properties>
    <mavenVersion>2.1</mavenVersion>
  </properties>
  <dependencies>
    <dependency>
      <groupId>org.apache.maven</groupId>
      <artifactId>maven-artifact</artifactId>
      <version>${mavenVersion}</version>
    </dependency>
    <dependency>
      <groupId>org.apache.maven</groupId>
      <artifactId>maven-project</artifactId>
      <version>${mavenVersion}</version>
    </dependency>
  </dependencies>
  ...
</project>
