I made simple program for sending and receiving data to serial port in java. I connect serial port device with loop back testing (Rx to Tx). it works fine. but i can't send and recive hex data to serial port and recive serial port. In my device there are FT232BL chip is used.So is there any dll or other library required to send and receive hex data to serial port device. my code is below.

String to Hex:

Integer.decode(hexString);

Hex to String:

Integer.toHexString(integer);

toHexString(i) is not a method in class String, I think you meant Integer

For String to Hexadecimal,

Integer.decode("0x4d2"); // output is 1234

("0x" should be added (prefix) to String for decoding to Hexadecimal)

Hexadecimal to String,

Integer.toHexString(1234); // output is 4d2

Any solutions for ARGB formats which are larger than the int limit? Integer.decode(0xffff6600) throws NumberFormatException Invalid int: "0xffff6600". Wrapping around to -39424 is fine because mCanvas.drawColor(-39424) works. It's just Integer.decode that can't handle larger numbers. @CarlJohn
@gotube decode takes a String as an argument, not an int. The issue is not too large numbers.
