I'm working with a Thales payShield 10K and trying to use the EU command to translate a public key under new LMK.

I currently have the key available in PEM, DER, and HEX formats. However, according to the documentation, it looks like the EU command expects the key in Thales key block format (which starts with an "S").

Has anyone here used this command before and can clarify what exact format is expected for the public key input? Thanks in advance for any help or guidance!

  • Not familiar with the device, but presumably you have to import the raw DER key first, then export it in wrapped form. Commented May 8 at 16:07
